At the beginning she does not appear to have any powers, yet it soon appears that she has all three of the girls powers, including the weather powers, this makes her especially dangerous. The next day at Charlotte's house, Charlotte has invited her friends from the old school. Cleo, Emma and Ash (who was also invited to the party) ask about Lewis' friends. When he asks Cleo and Emma where Rikki is, they explain that she has her own responsibilities.

Luckily the girls over rule her and she is dunked into the water just as the full moon came over the cone of the volcano. To keep Cleo and Emma from "ruining" the party, Charlotte asks them to bring the chairs from the pool room. As Cleo and Emma enter, Charlotte uses her powers to close the door, freeze the doorknob, and unfreezes the water pipe, flooding the room and turning Cleo and Emma into mermaids. Later on, Zane invited Rikki to go on a treasure hunt with him in the episode "In Over Our Heads". In this episode, he shows his concern for her when he saw how much she insisted on looking for the treasure and convinced her to take a break.
Cleo, who is extremely upset, after losing her locket and her friendship with Lewis, and additionally feeling that Lewis doesn't care even a little for her anymore, she runs off to the sea. When Lewis finds that Charlotte has bullied Cleo and stolen her locket, he is angered and finally breaks up with Charlotte for good and goes to find Cleo, ultimately resulting in Cleo and Lewis getting back together as a couple. Charlotte, now bitter and heartbroken, deals with her anger of being dumped by abusing her powers on the girls, after they attempted to warn her of the full moon.
